NYSAN is governed by a Steering Committee which is responsible for overall leadership, policy direction and sustainability of NYSAN, including oversight of all NYSAN committees and staff. Steering Committee members are public and private agencies playing a leadership role in the afterschool field in New York State. This includes statewide and other large networks of programs, professional associations, advocates, funders, regulators and training and technical assistance providers. Member agencies serve three-year, renewable terms and may be represented on the Steering Committee by one or more senior staff. The Steering Committee meets quarterly.
The organizational chart below displays the main components of NYSAN's organizational structure. NYSAN accomplishes much of its work through its statewide committees and affiliated regional networks.
