Mission

To improve the quality, quantity, and accessibility of out-of school programs in Monroe County and position the community to draw down state and national funding for out-of-school programs.

About GRASA

Greater Rochester After-School Alliance (GRASA) is convened by Rochester Area Community Foundation to execute a community strategy to meet the needs of working parents and engage young people in interesting, meaningful activities GRASA believes that all youth and families should have access to quality out-of-school programs. As a consortium of youth development advocates, GRASA is committed to improving the academic, social, and emotional competencies for youth and the adults who work with them.

The initiative serves as:

  • a central point for information on needs and strengths of out-of-school programs;
  • a community-wide priority setting body on issues relating to out-of-school programs; and
  • a focus for coordinating responses to state and national requests for proposals.For more information on the history, leadership and activities of GRASA.

GRASA meets on the third Friday of every month.
